Bowman EH100 Marine Heat Exchanger & Header Tank (110HP)
1. Quiet operation
The unique “quiet zone” design features a special venting feature, while the large storage area above the coil eliminates the problem of air locks or air locks entering the cooling system.
2. Application at sea and on land
Originally designed for seawater cooling of marine engines / gensets, Bowman surge tank heat exchangers are also ideal for land based engines where fresh water is used for cooling.
3. Extensive range
Proven worldwide in applications as diverse as ship propulsion, CHP / combined heat and power, engine-driven pumps and testing of car engines up to an output of 1 MW or more.
4. jacket water connection
Hose connections are provided on the most common models for easy connection to the engine cooling water circuit. Counter flange plates are provided for larger models.
5. Maintenance friendly
By simply removing the end covers, the tube bundle can be easily pulled out of the outer "housing" for routine cleaning and maintenance. A full range of spare parts is also available.
Part No: 201630
The Bowman EH100-3401-2 marine three pass diver tank heat exchanger is typically suitable for 40kW / 54HP engines.
There is a raw water input connection for 3/4" BSP one end and a raw water output connection for 3/4" BSP on the other end.
Please note: the heat exchanger is supplied with counter flanges, stud bolts and gaskets for the fresh water circuit. You will need to fabricate a suitable connection for the fresh water coolant input and outputs of the heat exchanger.
Bowman recommend NOT fitting zinc anodes because the tubes used in the construction of the heat exchangers are copper-nickel alloy, and as such they do not require a zinc anode. It is possible that if a zinc anode is fitted it can actually destroy the copper-oxide film built up by the tube as a natural defence, which can allow the tube material to be attacked.
