ELBI AFV 500-16 Vertical Coated Expansion Vessel

 

ELBI AFV 500-16 (SKU 022-636) is a 500-litre vertical accumulator/expansion vessel designed for booster and pressurisation systems. Built by ELBI for demanding residential and light industrial water applications, this coated pressure tank provides stable system pressure and reduces pump cycling for improved system efficiency.

 

Rated to PN16 (16 bar maximum) with a typical working pressure class and an operating temperature range from -10 °C to +99 °C, the AFV 500-16 uses a replaceable food-grade EPDM bladder that fully separates water and air to protect metal parts and ensure potable-water compatibility. The bladder design improves longevity and simplifies maintenance by allowing membrane replacement without replacing the whole tank.

 

Common applications include booster sets, domestic and commercial pressurisation, well and hydrofor systems, and any installation requiring large-volume pressure buffering to avoid pump hunting. The vessel’s vertical mounting, robust coated finish (model AFV 500-16 typically supplied in solvent-based grey finish), and certified design make it suitable for indoor plant rooms and packaged booster skids.
